We believe that grappling is for everyone, and we strive to create a community where students of all levels can come together and grow both physically and mentally. Come join us and see for yourself what makes our academy truly special.

Our experienced instructors use a combination of innovative techniques and traditional teachings to help students achieve their goals, whether that be to compete at the highest level, to stay in shape, or simply to learn a new skill.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What does my membership include?

Your membership will allow you to attend sessions at our Warminster gym where you will be taught by expert coaches on martial arts and defence techniques.

How do I manage my membership?

You can manage your membership with the Wiltshire Grappling Academy by going to our membership app.

Can I cancel my membership?

You’re free to cancel your membership any time you like but you must give us 30 days notice of cancellation to ensure you aren't billed again.

What should I wear?

To start with wearing regular gym kit will do I.e. t-shirt and shorts or leggings. When you're ready to purchase proper kit we can help you with recommendations.

What level of fitness do I need to start?

None whatsoever, you will gradually build your strength and fitness each week you attend sessions.

MEET THE

COACHES

COACH MARC

Marc is the Head Coach of WGA. He is an ex-professional MMA fighter who has been training in martial arts for the past 15 years, competing in boxing, grappling, and kickboxing.

Marc started primarily training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling arts in 2015 and has competed in the biggest competitions the UK has to offer.

He has been coaching MMA and grappling since 2017. Marc also has a background as a health and fitness professional, as a qualified PT, and holds an Lv3 in sport and exercise science as well as a BA Hons in Sport Coaching and Development.

Marc is safeguard trained and has a full DBS. He works with vulnerable young people in his daily career outside of martial arts.

Marc is also a family man with 2 daughters and 3 dogs. In his free time, he can be found in the gym, up a mountain, in the woods, at the beach, or on his sofa eating pizza and ice cream.

COACH PHIL

Phil is a Coach at WGA and has 12 years of experience in martial arts, competing in kickboxing, MMA, and grappling. He has competed at both amateur and professional levels in MMA.

Phil has been primarily focused on BJJ since November 2019 and is currently still active on the competition scene.

He is a fully qualified gym instructor and personal trainer, as well as being safeguard trained, first aid trained, and having a full DBS check in place.

Phil is a highway engineer for his day-to-day work and a family man with a wife and two young children. In his free time, he spends most of it preventing his children from fighting each other and squabbling over the TV!

When peace between the little humans has been achieved, you can find Phil with a beer in one hand and a slice of pizza in the other, ready to become a peacekeeper once again.
